Drawn to Chinese furniture and its poetic approach to material, Jean-Michel Frank was inspired to design, around 1927, the Pagode Side Table. Sensitive to materials, he produced this piece in cerused oak, whose finish revealed the wood’s natural grain, as well as in parchment.
